20% of Canadians will experience a mental illness in their lifetime. That’s 7 million people!! If not you, then someone in your family?
May 12th, 2017

I am honoured that the Canadian Mental Health Association, Kelowna, has invited me to be the speaker at their awareness event in November. This is an annual event to help people understand that this illness can be treated and to help remove the stigma around mental health issues.  Because of that stigma, people are not coming forward to get the help that can save their jobs, their families and, in some cases, their lives.

As the nation-wide leader and champion for mental health, CMHA facilitates access to the resources people require to maintain and improve mental health and community integration, build resilience, and support recovery from mental illness.

A speech by Frank O'Dea will be a highlight of your event.

Frank's inspiring story is retold in his best-selling memoir "When All You Have is Hope", available in bookstores and online. Buy a copy for someone who is important to you.
