Frank O’Dea to receive their highest honour, the Rotary Lifetime Achievement Award @WestTORotary @FrederickReader 

This year Rotary has voted Frank O’Dea to receive their highest honour, the Lifetime Achievement Award for his commitment to leadership in promoting the importance of helping youth, practical experience in youth development, and a long record of meritorious service supporting youth. Past recipients of the award include Dave Dryden, Frank D. Selke, Silken Laumann, Pinball Clemons & George Chuvalo.


The award will be presented at the annual Rotary Youth Impact Awards Gala in Toronto at the historic Old Mill Inn on January 29, 2016. The Rotary Club seeks to recognize those who give of their time and effort and have made a significant impact in our community and around the world to help Youth at Risk and those needing assistance to reach their full potential.

Excerpt from Frank’s bio show long time Rotary connection...

Frank co-found the Canadian Landmine Foundation, an organization that raises funds and awareness for the dismantling of minefields around the world. With support from Colin Powell, Paul McCartney and Rotary Clubs across Canada, he went on to initiate that organization’s most successful, worldwide annual fund raising program, “Night of a Thousand Dinners”, with participation of thousands of donors from some 29 countries, including over 35 Rotary Clubs in Canada.
